Privacy Policy — Beamer Notes

Beamer Notes does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

What stays on your device

Everything you create or import stays on your iPad:

• PDF decks you import are copied into the app's private storage.
• Your Apple Pencil annotations are saved locally on the device.
• To know how many distinct PDFs the free allowance has been used for, the app keeps a list of content hashes of those PDFs — not the files, their names, or their contents — together with your purchase status, in the device keychain so they survive reinstalling. These values never leave your device.

None of this content is sent to the developer or to any third party. The app does not include any analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Purchases

The optional in-app purchases — the deck packs and the one-time Full Version unlock — are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Beamer Notes never sees your payment information. Any data related to the transaction is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

External displays and AirPlay

When you connect a projector or TV via HDMI or AirPlay, the app displays your slides on that screen. This is a local display connection; no content is uploaded anywhere.

Using an iPhone as a remote

Beamer Notes on iPhone is a remote for a nearby iPad running Beamer Notes. When you use it, the two devices connect directly to each other over Apple's MultipeerConnectivity (local network and/or Bluetooth) and exchange only what the remote needs to display: images of the current and next slide, the speaker-notes text of the current slide, the timer value, and page or laser-pointer commands.

This is a link between your own two devices. There is no server, no relay, and no account; nothing is stored off your devices, and the connection exists only while you are using the remote.

Network access

There is no server on our side, so there is nowhere for your content to go. The only network activity is the device-to-device remote link described above, and requests the operating system makes on the app's behalf — for example, contacting the App Store to present or restore an in-app purchase.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
